February In Review
February's wrapped up, and it was a good one. It’s already been two weeks since the month ended, and I’m just now getting caught up. Fooph!
The theme for February turned out to be finishing my EP, Finally, At Last, with Jeff Zipp. We’ve worked on a ton of songs together over the years, and it’s always a pleasure. This time, we added a new twist—working remotely. Jeff’s now in LA, and I’m still here in Richmond.
It worked surprisingly well, almost like we were in the same room, but instead, we were 3000 miles apart. Definitely the longest-distance recording session I’ve been part of. I’ve sent tracks from home to various places before, but this was next level.
The best part? The recording step is done. Three tracks recorded, mixed, and even mastered. I’m stoked.
Next up is finalizing the artwork, music videos and sorting out the release details (shooting for late spring). After that, I’ll be locking in dates for a summer tour through the Okanagan and Vancouver Island. Oh... did I say tour? Yup. More on that next time.
That’s all for now. Talk soon.
